EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Lead Full-Stack, Data and AI Agent Engineer to build a production-grade agentic AI platform for upstream oil & gas operations.

You will evolve the core that converts engineers’ questions into safe, schema-aware SQL and multi-step reasoning workflows, and help the team ship reliably. The role requires deep expertise in Python backend, async programming, and FastAPI, with experience in LangGraph/LangChain, AWS Bedrock, and SQL safety.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of backend engineering in Python.
• Strong async/await skills with FastAPI or a comparable framework.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, RDS, and S3, no hardcoded credentials.
• Solid SQL/PostgreSQL experience with safety-critical code (SQL injection prevention).

Responsabilidades

• Own the deepagents/LangGraph agent runtime and safety middleware.
• Design FastAPI endpoints with async I/O and SSE streaming.
• Implement SELECT-only, injection-safe SQL generation across per-tenant schemas.
• Integrate AWS Bedrock and manage LLM routing decisions.
• Instrument agent runs with MLflow and contribute to eval framework.
• Collaborate on RAG retrieval using pgvector, FAISS, and S3-backed storage.

We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack, Data and AI Agent Engineer to build a production-grade agentic AI platform for upstream oil & gas operations (ESP, gas lift, plunger lift, chemical injection).
