Job Description

Accounts squad is a core component of the ecosystem, storing and processing data for all accounts and customers. There is a high focus on reliability, high volume, and low latency.

What you will do:

• Ensure systems are scalable and maintain data integrity
• Apply staff engineering guidelines and standards to current systems
• Support other engineers in implementations
• Identify hidden flaws in existing systems
• Collaborate on cross-squad implementations
• Contribute to architectural design of complex systems
• Understand multiple workstreams and provide effective technical support
• Demonstrate strong product awareness in relevant business areas
• Work closely with product leadership to align with product-market fit
• Promote urgency around company priorities and step up to lead when needed
• Propose engineering strategies within your discipline and drive alignment

This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be based in Brazil
• English level B2
• Experience with Golang
• Cloud computing knowledge
• Event-driven architecture familiarity
• Understanding of distributed systems, including:
  • Distributed race conditions
  • Distributed transactions

Desirable:

• Experience with Java
• Experience with observability and metrics
• Familiarity with OpenAPI
• Load testing experience
• Knowledge of Terraform
• DevOps practices
• Financial industry experience
