Your Role and Responsibilities
As a junior accounts payable clerk, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations by processing invoices and payments within our accounts payable team.

- Assist in digitizing invoices, recording data, internal control, and executing payments.
- Validate invoices for taxes (e.g., VAT codes, withholding taxes, tax recoverability), ensuring correct processing per legal and tax requirements.
- Monitor and apply fiscal and tax regulations in accounts payable processes, ensuring compliance and minimizing tax risks.
- Support payment execution and cash flow forecasts, considering tax impacts and obligations.
- Ensure quality results within deadlines.
- Maintain operating procedures, manuals, and instructions, aligned with auditing and compliance standards.
- Participate in Agile meetings and ceremonies to monitor activities, status, and resolve impediments.
- Use collaborative tools for task management, communication, and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, proposing process adjustments and innovations.
- Support clients and suppliers, clarifying invoice and tax-related questions.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with the team.
- Support ad hoc projects and leadership requests.
- Work in an agile, dynamic environment focused on operational excellence.
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes.
- Strong understanding of fiscal and tax legislation, especially indirect taxes (VAT, ICMS, ISS, WHT, etc.).
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Experience with invoices, payments, tax calculations, and validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve fiscal and operational discrepancies.
- Structured problem visualization and solution proposal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Good time management and task prioritization skills.
- Adaptability to agile and changing environments.
- Experience with ERP systems and Agile methodologies is a plus.
