The Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting credit assessments, evaluating the creditworthiness of our customers with a fundamental approach; preparing a well-argued report with a credit limit and a credit rating recommendation in English; creating and maintaining control of the limits, ratings, and collaterals approved; supporting the administration of the portfolio through active monitoring of customer performance and exposure; and ensuring all relevant documentation is in place.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analyze a portfolio of clients across different sectors within the Agribusiness and Energy segments.
2. Perform credit and financial analysis of individual clients, preparing credit files based on a fundamental, risk-oriented approach.
3. Recommend credit ratings for internal clients, considering both quantitative and qualitative factors.
4. Collaborate with other analysts and the Credit Coordinator during the preparation of credit analyses.
5. Support the onboarding process by preparing credit files for new clients.
6. Update and prepare sectorial reviews.
7. Present analyses to the team.
8. Monitor client portfolios using various tools.
9. Perform ad hoc duties as required by the Credit department.

Qualifications

Education (Degree / Area)

B.S. or higher in Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

At least 1.5 years of experience in credit analysis within a financial institution (small to mid-sized bank, broker, trade house, fund, consultancy preferred). Experience in financial services, capital markets, or the agribusiness industry is desirable.

Knowledge

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (advanced skills).

Technical Skills

Essential: Analytical skills, accounting, credit and financial analysis, corporate finance.

Preferred: Programming skills and PowerBI are advantageous; knowledge of commodities in Agribusiness and Energy sectors is a plus.
