EPAM Systems is seeking a Java Backend Developer to build and evolve scalable, high-performance services powering mobile and web experiences used daily by thousands of professionals. You will collaborate in an agile team to deliver secure APIs and reliable microservices.

Responsibilities include designing backend services with Java and Spring Boot, creating RESTful APIs, ensuring robust data access with relational databases, and contributing to CI/CD improvements.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of production Java backend experience.

• Solid ownership of backend features from design to release.
• Strong REST API design knowledge and microservices fundamentals.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Java in production backend development
• Experience with Spring Boot for building services and APIs
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute in an Agile/Scrum setup
• Solid project ownership skills for delivering backend features from design to release
• Strong REST API design knowledge and microservices fundamentals
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
• Persistence framework knowledge with JPA/Hibernate or similar ORM tools
• Version control proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows
• Testing mindset with unit and integration testing frameworks
• Strong analytical skills and practical problem-solving abilities
• Clear communication skills for technical discussions and code reviews
• English proficiency: B2 Upper-Intermediate

Nice to have

• Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP
• Docker experience for containerized development and deployment
• Kubernetes experience for orchestrating microservices
• OAuth2 knowledge for secure authorization flows
• Single Sign-On experience with SSO and related authentication patterns
