EPAM Systems is seeking a Chief Full-Stack Developer in Brazil to lead architecture and delivery of high‑scale commerce platforms. You will drive backend services, AI-enabled checkout flows, and cross‑functional collaboration with strong emphasis on quality, performance, and security.

You will guide teams, shape technical decisions, and ensure long‑term system growth while remaining hands-on with modern Java, ReactJS, and cloud technologies. Excellent communication in English is required.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of team leadership experience.
• Strong backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven frontend experience with React.JS.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

We are seeking a Chief Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and GCP to join our organization. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services supporting payment, loyalty, promotion, and other commerce domain systems
• Facilitate AI-driven checkout flows equipped with appropriate validations and safeguards
• Guarantee scalability, reliability, and compliance across all systems
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to shape technical solutions that support business objectives
• Take part in code reviews to uphold strong standards for quality, performance, and security
• Help shape architectural decisions that promote long-term system growth and stability
• Identify and resolve intricate production issues promptly
• Guide team members and support their ongoing technical growth

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience
• A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing teams
• Solid backend development background with Java and Spring Boot
• Proven production experience building Front-End components using React.JS
• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code
• Skilled in building REST APIs and microservices
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations
• Openness to learning and adapting to new tools, patterns, and technologies
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure
• Availability to work with overlapping hours in US Pacific Time
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication abilities

Nice to have

• CCA-F certification
• Experience with Apigee
• Familiarity with JavaScript backend platforms
