Job summary

TSEA energy is seeking an experienced Indirect Buyer to support the Eden facility's procurement activities for indirect materials and services. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage purchase orders, maintain ERP records, and coordinate with the Brazil-based Purchasing team to ensure on-time delivery and accurate data.

You will analyze requirements, optimize cost, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in indirect purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles, ideally in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and purchasing/procurement tools.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Effective communication with international teams (Brazil-based Purchasing team).

Responsibilities

The Indirect Buyer is responsible for managing the purchasing process for indirect materials and services required for the operation of the Eden manufacturing facility, acting as the main local purchasing contact and maintaining close alignment with the Purchasing team in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing

• Manage the purchasing process for indirect materials and services required for the operation of the manufacturing facility.
  
• Receive and analyze internal purchasing requirements, ensuring that requests contain the necessary information to proceed with the purchasing process.
  
• Request and analyze supplier quotations and negotiate prices, lead times, delivery conditions, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
  
• Purchase MRO materials, tools, PPE, consumables, maintenance supplies, packaging, office supplies, facility services, and other indirect categories.
  
• Issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
  
• Maintain effective communication with suppliers regarding quotations, purchase orders, commercial conditions, and general purchasing matters.
  
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, purchase order information, and supplier data in the ERP system.
  
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and procurement procedures.
  
• Prepare and maintain purchasing reports and KPIs as required.
  
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of purchasing processes and routines at the Eden facility.
  
• Act as the main local purchasing contact for the Eden facility, maintaining effective communication with the Purchasing team in Brazil.
  

Follow-Up (FUP)

• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  
• Obtain and maintain supplier delivery confirmations and updated delivery dates.
  
• Follow up on delayed or at-risk purchase orders and communicate potential impacts to internal stakeholders.
  
• Work directly with internal stakeholders to understand priorities and delivery requirements.
  
• Support the resolution of supplier-related commercial and delivery issues.
  
• Monitor supplier responsiveness and delivery performance and elevate recurring issues when necessary.
  
• Identify and communicate potential supply or delivery risks that may impact plant operations.
  

Sourcing

• Identify potential alternative suppliers or new sourcing options when required.
  
• Research the local and regional supplier market to identify potential purchasing alternatives.
  
• Submit recommendations for potential new suppliers through the appropriate internal qualification and approval process.
  
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, improved commercial conditions, purchase consolidation, and process efficiency.
  
• Support sourcing activities aimed at reducing supply risks and improving commercial competitiveness.
  
• Support benchmarking and market analysis for relevant indirect purchasing categories.
