Impact Brazil is seeking an engineering intern to support the R&D team in developing reciprocal compressors for household refrigerators. You will engage in data analysis, automation, mathematical modelling, and AI to improve processes and build practical tools for engineers.

[Currently Enrolled Students Only] We are looking for an Engineering student from Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or related fields to support our R&D team in developing reciprocal compressors for household refrigerators. The role combines engineering, data analysis, automation, mathematical modelling, and AI to improve technical processes and develop practical tools for engineering teams.Two projects are already mapped:- Compressor Performance & Predictive Modelling: Analyse experimental data, identify relevant variables, develop regression-based predictive models, and build an interactive HTML interface for engineers to explore data and predictions.- Engineering Standards & Knowledge Management: Develop smart search tools to index, connect, and improve access to technical standards used in compressor development and approval.

• Support engineering teams in analysing technical and experimental data related to reciprocal compressor development.
• Develop, optimise and automate engineering tools and workflows used by different R&D teams.
• Apply statistical analysis, mathematical modelling, data regression, and AI techniques to solve real engineering problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes through automation, data-driven analysis and digital tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and specialists from different technical backgrounds involved in compressor development.
• Translate engineering requirements and user needs into practical tools, scripts, interfaces, and automated solutions.
• Support the development and improvement of predictive models for compressor performance based on experimental data.
• Improve access to technical information and engineering standards through digital and AI-supported solutions.
