An established industry player is looking for a dedicated Highway Maintenance Operator to join their Traffic Division. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the safety and functionality of the county's road systems. You'll be involved in installing and managing road signage, conducting sight distance reviews, and supporting snow and ice control operations. Location: Public Works Facility, 1600 Prairie Drive, Medina, MN 55340. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with various shifts including day, evening, overnight, holiday, and weekends. New Employee Orientation (NEO) is in-person in downtown Minneapolis.
This role involves working with traffic control for work zones, assisting with installation and maintenance of signs, markings, and safety features, performing sight distance reviews, supporting asset management through data collection, and snow and ice control.
The Traffic Division manages over 55,000 signs, 9 million linear feet of pavement markings, and other assets, comprising about 30 staff in three teams. The department values respect, innovation, collaboration, and responsible resource use, aiming to deliver a safe, high-quality highway system.
