Overview

SAExploration is a leading full‑service seismic company seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our seismic vessel operations globally, with immediate opportunities in Brazil. The role ensures vessels are properly crewed, maintained, and operationally ready while coordinating international vessel movement and logistics in compliance with company procedures and maritime regulations. Work is demanding with 12–14‑hour rotational shifts in challenging offshore environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily vessel operations, including scheduling, port logistics, equipment transfers, fuel/water tracking, and crew movements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime, local, and international laws, as well as internal HSE and operational standards.
• Manage and monitor vessel maintenance plans, inspections, audits, certifications, and SIMOPS procedures.
• Act as primary liaison between vessels, onshore support, regional operations managers, and project stakeholders.
• Track and report key operational metrics: vessel activities, weather updates, third‑party encounters (e.g., fishing vessels, marine mammals), and fuel usage.
• Support the implementation of safety procedures, emergency response readiness, and toolbox meetings.
• Maintain effective coordination between departments (recording, navigation, technical teams) for smooth logistics and operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Post‑secondary degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in vessel or fleet management in marine or offshore operations.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maritime compliance, and technical logistics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; proven ability to manage in dynamic field environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
• Committed to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
