Ebury São Paulo Office is seeking a Financial Accounting Manager to lead the monthly close, ensure COSIF compliance, and prepare financial statements for the global team in Madrid.

The role requires prior experience leading an accounting team, strong IFRS knowledge, Brazilian CPA certification, and fluency in English. You will drive process improvements and ensure robust internal controls within a hybrid setup.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of accounting with active CRC (Brazilian CPA).
• Strong COSIF and Central Bank of Brazil rule knowledge.
• Solid IFRS understanding and local CPC rules.
• Experience in financial entities and audits appreciated.
• Proficient English (advanced speaking).

Responsabilidades

• Execute monthly accounting close with accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare COSIF-compliant reports and regulatory filings.
• Present financial statements to the global team in Madrid.
• Lead accounting team, set closing routines and deadlines.
• Translate complex accounting data for non-specialists.

Financial Accounting Manager

Ebury São Paulo Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

What you’ll do

Execute monthly accounting close, ensuring the integrity and compliance of information and preparation of financial statements and reports;

Prepare reports and analyses according to COSIF (Central Bank of Brazil rules) standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;

Presentation of financial statements to the global team in Madrid;

Proven experience leading an accounting team, including people development, defining closing routines and deadlines;

Ability to translate complex accounting information into business language for non-specialists;

Analytical mindset, organized, good tolerance for tight deadlines

Perform account reconciliations, identifying and correcting discrepancies;

Support internal and external audits;

Contribute to improvements in accounting processes and internal controls, aiming for greater efficiency and compliance

Provide technical support and guidance to the team

Participating in meetings of new products to understand the process of implementations and design of accounting script of operations;

Analysis and monitoring of regulatory risks;

Performing reports on risks and operational limits at Central Bank;

The professional will be working on financial entities

What you’ll need

Bachelor of accounting (Brazilian CPA – CRC Active)

Knowledge of legislation according to Central Bank of Brazil (COSIF, Resolutions, Normative Instructions, Circulation letters)

Knowledge of local accounting rules (CPC)

Knowledge of international accounting rules (IFRS)

Having worked in financial entities

Advanced English level (speaking)

Master Business Administrations will be a differential

Knowledge with automation tools will be a differential

Knowledge of Fx accounting will be a differential.
