Booking.com Brasil Servicos de Reservas de Hoteis Ltda (Brazil) is seeking a full-time Finance Operations Specialist.

The Finance Operations Specialist for Accounts Payable effectively completes all payment processes, including payments to vendors, properties, payment service providers or customers with accuracy and within a timely manner. Understanding of proper recording of invoices for VAT purposes and to handle a variety of activities related to invoice analysis and processing and accounting month end close.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Process pay-outs to vendors, affiliates, outsource service providers, properties and customers (related to disputes)
2. Post invoices, banking operations and follow up with P2P processes
3. Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
4. Reconcile transactions with accuracy and in a timely manner, assist with the month end closing processes
5. Prepare all reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and covering the Sox framework
6. Proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and share knowledge and best practices
7. Identify and follow-up on process opportunities directly impacting daily activities within the team
8. Support with team projects for process innovation and improvement, actively test and implement new tools and software
9. Proactively maintain and develop technical knowledge in order to execute tasks effectively
10. Able to follow detailed procedures and instructions

What You'll Bring

1. Bachelor degree in Finance (or studying in the field)
2. 2-3 years of relevant experience (in AP, AR, Credit Control Purchase, OM, Accounting, Treasury or Administration)
3. Experience working with integrated systems (SAP, Ivalua, or others)
4. Solution oriented and results driven
5. Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
6. Proactive, flexible and capable of working independently as well as working in a team
7. Ability to prioritize own workload and efficiently manage their time
8. Eye for accuracy and ability to be analytical
9. Strong computer skills
10. Language: English written and verbal / Portuguese written and verbal
11. Spanish is a Plus
12. Currently authorized to work in Brazil
13. You are required to live within a commutable distance from your assigned office location
