Join us as a Field Sales Trainer & Coach at Merck Life Science

We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to join our team as a Field Sales Trainer & Coach at Merck Life Science. This role involves leading in-house sales training, coaching practices, and stakeholder management to enhance our commercial capabilities across regions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Deliver in-house training on core commercial skills, including Consultative Selling, Strategic Selling, Conceptual Selling, Territory Sales Planning, Negotiation, Techno-Commercial Skills, and Data & Digital Skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Partner with sales managers to implement effective sales coaching practices and upskill their teams.
  • Conduct performance gap analyses with regional leadership to identify skill, behavior, or mindset gaps and recommend appropriate interventions.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools such as SFDC CRM and sales dashboards to improve sales performance.
  • Manage training logistics and collaborate with SMEs to ensure timely delivery of programs.
  • Ensure high-quality training content and measure success through KPIs aligned with stakeholders.
  • Promote and embody Merck's high-impact culture (HIC) within the team.
  • Coordinate logistical needs for training sessions based on location requirements.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • Experience in commercial roles within the Biopharma or Life Science industry
  • Proven experience in coaching and training, with the ability to manage complex education projects
  • Ability to perform training needs analysis and design tailored learning experiences
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% to LATAM and US regions
  • Fluent in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in sales or commercial leadership roles
  • Certification as a Trainer in core commercial skills for B2B
  • Coaching certification
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholder influence

This role is based in Burlington, MA or LATAM.
