Qualificações

Provivi is seeking a Field Development Manager to lead field development activities in Brazil and support the advancement of our pheromone-based insect pest management products.

As Provivi’s primary Field Development resource in Brazil, this person will manage the local Field Development function and serve as a key technical partner to internal teams, research organizations, growers, and commercial partners.

This is a functional management role rather than a people-management role and does not currently include direct reports.

The role is highly hands-on. The successful candidate will combine strong knowledge of entomology and pest management with practical field-development experience, working directly with partners and at field sites to ensure successful product evaluation, development, positioning, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Field Development
  • Lead Field Development activities in Brazil, ensuring programs support product development, regulatory, and commercial objectives.
  • Drive successful field evaluation and development of Provivi products across relevant crops, pests, geographies, and application methods.
  • Establish appropriate technical positioning based on product performance, field conditions, grower needs, and market practices.
  • Support the development and validation of effective application methodologies, including aircraft / drone application where appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, pest-management practices, and competitive developments relevant to Provivi’s products in Brazil.
Technical & Regulatory Support
  • Provide field-development expertise and technical guidance to support product development and regulatory timelines.
  • Ensure field-development programs generate high-quality technical evidence and reporting needed to support regulatory submissions and product advancement.
  • Partner with Regulatory, Product, Formulation, Commercial, and other functions to address technical questions and development needs.
  • Collaborate with Provivi’s Global Field Development leadership on technical documentation, protocols, and standard operating practices.
Partners & External Stakeholders
  • Serve as a key technical Field Development contact for CROs, research institutions, growers, commercial partners, and other external collaborators in Brazil.
  • Build productive technical relationships with partners and independently guide field-development programs toward agreed objectives.
  • Connect Provivi with relevant external expertise, including researchers and other subject-matter experts in entomology and pest management.
  • Represent field realities and partner needs internally, helping ensure the voice of growers and commercial partners informs product development and positioning.
Technical Enablement
  • Develop and lead structured technical training programs for Provivi commercial teams, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Translate field-development findings into clear, practical technical guidance that partners can use to appropriately position and support Provivi products.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively across multinational and geographically distributed teams.
What Success Looks Like
  • Field-development programs in Brazil are executed effectively and deliver reliable evidence supporting product advancement.
  • Provivi products have clear, field-validated technical positioning and application approaches appropriate to Brazilian markets.
  • Regulatory and product-development teams receive timely, high-quality technical support needed to advance priority products.
  • CROs, growers, researchers, and commercial partners view Provivi as a capable and responsive technical partner.
  • Sales and distribution teams are equipped with structured training and practical technical knowledge to confidently support Provivi products.
  • The Brazil Field Development function operates effectively and independently while remaining well integrated with Provivi’s global teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Education and/or professional experience in entomology, pest management, crop protection, agronomy, or a closely related field, with strong knowledge of insect pest management.
  • Relevant experience in agricultural field development, product development, field research, or related technical function.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work hands-on in field-development environments.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage priorities, and represent a technical function with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multinational and geographically distributed teams.
  • Availability for regular travel within Brazil and occasional international travel.
Preferred
  • Advanced degree in entomology, agronomy, crop protection, or a related agricultural discipline.
  • Five or more years of relevant agricultural R&D or field-development experience.
  • Experience with pheromone-based or other biological pest-management technologies.
  • Experience developing or supporting aerial agricultural application methods; experience with drone applications is also valuable.
  • Experience working with CROs, research institutions, growers, distributors, or other external development partners.
  • Experience designing and delivering structured technical training programs.
  • Experience working within a multinational agricultural organization.
