The ideal candidate holds degrees in chemistry, environmental engineering, biology, or environmental management and has hands-on experience with wastewater processes, waste management, and environmental regulations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor-level degrees in chemistry, environmental engineering, biology or environment management.
• Experience or familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is required.
• Knowledge of environmental management systems and ISO 14001 certifications is expected.
• Experience with environmental audits, waste management and regulatory standards is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the Solid Waste Plant and supervise service providers for environmental compliance.
• Oversee the wastewater treatment process and update operational procedures.
• Maintain updated environmental procedures and monitor compliance with legal requirements.
• Develop and monitor internal audit plans and ensure ISO 14001 alignment.
• Lead onboarding and development efforts, fostering a culture of safety and health.

Job Description

• Coordinate the Solid Waste Plant (PRS) and the qualification of service provider environmentally critical. Maintain records and documents updated and traceable. Monitor monthly indicators related to waste.
• Coordinate the WWTP, including the whole process of wastewater treatment, updates and adaptations of operational procedures, records, releases the results of the monitoring, organization, etc.
• Maintain environmental procedures updated.
• Develop and monitor the implementation of the Internal Audit Plan.
• Keep updated management program legal requirements and other requirements, implementing actions necessary for adaptations, including technical and regulatory standards, conditions of licenses and concessions, etc..
• Ensure that the environmental management system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001.
• Perform annual face-to-face employee dialogues to discuss performance, potential and development of employees, provide effective feedback & address poor performance
• Ensure proper onboarding/ integration of new employees .
• Create a culture of safety and health through leadership & act as role model;
• Ensure application of ESH regulations and management methods & tools (e.g. 5S systematic) as well as engagement of people;

Qualifications

• Graduated in chemist or environmental engineer or biology or environment management course.
• Experience in processes of wastewater treatment by activated sludge, implementation and maintenance of environmental management system, environmental audits, ISO 14001 certification, waste management, knowledge of legislation and technical standards in the environmental area, chemistry analysis in food, environment and inorganic fertilizers.
