Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations PTE LTD in Brazil's Norte region seeks a Material Planning Engineer to join a team managing spares and materials forecasting for Fab tools. You will forecast with Fab Process areas and liaise with Procurement to maintain stocking levels essential for production continuity.

The role focuses on building BOM/forecast models, applying statistics and data analysis, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, cost benchmarking, and budget adherence.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas), SQL, and/or Web App Development.
• Strong data analysis and statistical understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Develop and maintain Build of Material planning models for assigned commodities or spares PM maintenance planning.
• Manage forecast accuracy to prevent inventory shortages and expiry.
• Coordinate actions for excursion control and process improvement.
• Design cross-department projects to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
• Interface with R&D and process engineering to build BOM/forecast platform using Web Portal and Database.
• Coordinate material shortage/expiry issues with stakeholders to minimize impact.
• Develop reporting and automation to improve efficiency.

The Material Planning Engineer will be responsible for working within a team of individuals to manage spares and materials forecast for the Fab tools. The engineer will work with the various Fab Process areas to ensure spares and materials are accurately forecasted and liaise with Procurement to ensure sufficient stocking levels. The engineer will also work closely with the cost management and finance team on budgeting, compliance to budget and cost benchmarking. This responsibility may include identifying cost effective sustaining manufacturing improvements, minimizing regular expenditures, and helping to promote a cost-conscious culture.

• Develop and maintain accurate Build of Material planning model of assigned commodities or Spares PM Maintenance Plan planning model of assigned Fab area.

• Apply supply chain engineering concepts to manage forecast requirement and forecast accuracy performance to ensure no inventory shortage or material expiry issues that can cause production line stoppage.

• Determine actions needed for excursion control and method improvement.

• Design and coordinate projects with several different departments to continuously improve forecast accuracy with high efficiency.

• Interface with research & development and process engineering to build BOM and forecast platform using Web Portal and Database.

• Coordinate material or parts shortage and expiry issues with relevant stakeholders in order to zero out impact to company.

• Develop reporting and automation capabilities to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment andcomplying withorganizational standards and legal requirements.

• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement byidentifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent experience

• Good knowledge in programming such as Python(Panda), SQL and/or Web App Development

• Strong understanding of statistics and data analysis

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Possess good teamwork skills and strong multi-tasking capability

• Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with minimal supervision

• Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron

• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency androle‑appropriate AIliteracy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
