Job Description

The Opportunity

The Transport, Trade & Logistics General Cargo Sourcing Manager Region is responsible for managing the transport project budgeting for G/C, ensuring alignment with requirements. This role includes managing the strategic sourcing process, supplier base management, and supporting resolution of supplier claims or disputes.

How you’ll make an impact

1. Conduct transport requirement analysis based on weight and dimensions, and review suitable frame agreements and past shipments for benchmarking RFIs.
2. Manage the end-to-end RFI process for general cargo, analyze results, and oversee project budgeting, including change processes and rate card implementation.
3. Perform analytics using SCMIS reporting, assess market and cost developments, and support market intelligence reports and commodity guidelines.
4. Develop CAT CIPS Strategy proposals based on supplier and market analysis, and monitor KPI execution.
5. Oversee the RFI and RFQ processes, approve awards, and negotiate margins and disputes with suppliers.
6. Support supplier qualification and performance management in SAP Ariba, including managing claims and contractual obligations.
7. Identify and implement supplier performance improvements, manage supplier classification, and support re-sourcing strategies.
8. Drive change management initiatives, support project rollouts, and ensure effective internal communication.
9. Engage stakeholders, define team structures, and manage talent development and succession planning.
10. Lead by example, coach staff, and ensure adherence to TTL strategies and policies.
11. Adjust global processes to local needs, implement systems, and support S&OP processes and maturity improvements.
12. Promote safety and integrity as core values, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background

1. University degree required.
2. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with self-motivation and discipline to meet deadlines across multiple priorities.
3. Experience in transportation/logistics procurement, with strong communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
4. Proficiency in working in fast-paced environments and across organizational levels.
