The Opportunity
How you’ll make an impact
You will conduct transport requirement analysis based on weight and dimensions, check for suitable frame agreements, and review previous shipments as reference freight for benchmarking must-win general cargo RFIs.
You will be responsible for the proper execution of the end-to-end RFI process for general cargo and must-win RFIs, analyze RFI results with reference freight and budget approvals, and manage the project budgeting change process, including verification, approval, and internal escalations. You will also oversee the implementation of the general cargo standard rate card and provide input for clarification as needed.
You will manage analytics through SCMIS reporting, assess internal and external market price developments, support market intelligence reports, and analyze market prices to calculate future shipment costs, issuing commodity pre-tender guidelines.
You will establish CAT CIPS strategy proposals for general cargo per sub-category and/or supplier based on comprehensive assessments, and plan, implement, and monitor KPIs for CAT CIPS execution.
You will oversee the end-to-end RFI and RFQ processes for general cargo, approve award proposals within thresholds, negotiate margins, evaluate invoice disputes, and negotiate with suppliers.
You will support supplier qualification in SAP Ariba, including initiating qualifications, reviewing inputs, and finalizing approvals. You will also monitor supplier performance, support claim management, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Within supplier performance management, you will identify adjustments needed and take commercial actions for non-compliance.
You will consult on alternative solutions, prepare delivery contingency plans, ensure internal communication, and manage supplier classification and performance evaluation processes.
You will promote awareness, act as a change agent, support the rollout of TTL projects and tools, and train the TTL organization on new initiatives.
You will facilitate stakeholder engagement, define team structure, guide, motivate, and develop staff, and coordinate talent management and succession planning.
You will lead by example, coach staff, identify training needs, manage initiatives, and communicate TTL strategy effectively across the organization.
You will adapt global processes to local needs, implement systems and policies, and ensure training and support for local organizations, including defining and implementing S&OP processes.

Your background
You hold a university degree.

Proficiency in English is required; Spanish is desirable.
