About the Role

As a Technical UI Artist at Fortis Games, your role is to bridge art and technology by developing efficient tools, optimizing asset pipelines, and ensuring seamless integration between art and engineering. You will develop and maintain tools and pipelines, enabling the UI team to produce high-quality visuals while maintaining performance. Collaboration with designers, engineers, and artists is essential to ensure technical excellence and consistency across all game assets.

• Collaborate with UI artists and developers to translate the UI vision into engaging in-game experiences.
• Identify technical solutions to achieve high-quality UI implementation.
• Develop and maintain tools and pipelines for asset creation and integration.
• Create optimized shaders and effects for UI screens.
• Document UI design implementation processes.
• Ensure UI is optimized for various screen sizes, resolutions, and accessibility needs.
• Innovate in UI design implementation and technology/tools.

What you’ll need to be successful

• Experience in mobile UI design with a strong portfolio.
• Advanced knowledge of Unity and scripting.
• Knowledge of shader creation via node graph, HLSL, or GLSL.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or C++.
• Strong debugging skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• A passion for video games and understanding of gaming industry pipelines.
