We are looking for a Senior 2D Concept Artist to join our incredible team. The candidate should have extensive and demonstrable experience creating artworks and will be responsible for rendering these in various angles or styles. This includes illustrations, concepts, portraits, backgrounds, and other specific assets such as sprites and textures. As a Senior 2D Concept Artist, you should be capable of leading your visual vision through sketches and delivering final assets to developers or tech artists as required. You may also need to define project pipelines, assist in leading juniors, and complete estimations or documentation.

What you will do:

• Create stunning building designs that captivate and inspire
• Design vibrant and imaginative environments that bring worlds to life

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of illustration tools like Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Procreate, etc.
• Solid understanding of shape language, color theory, anatomy, lighting, and perspective
• Highly creative with the ability to visualize different art styles
• Excellent sketching and thumbnail skills for communication
• Good understanding of style and visual expectations for each project
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Over 5 years of experience involved in game development
• A strong portfolio showcasing highly stylized art with cartoon and storytelling influences
• Expertise in building and environment design
• Ability to lead and assist teammates with specific 2D tasks
• Ability to interact effectively with clients
• Experience with 2D art creation pipelines and asset exporting

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of Spine animation tool
• Experience in Matte Painting concepting
• Basic 3D skills for overdraw art pipelines
• Some insights into animation are a plus
