Digital Electronics Engineer - Rio de Janeiro

Airswift is seeking a Digital Electronics Engineer to work on a permanent contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, test, and document solutions in FPGAs/SoCs for various subsystems, specifically for a wireline tool under development.
2. Collaborate with the company's development teams in the USA and Singapore.
3. Work closely with the Electrical Engineering team, Systems Engineer, and Project Manager.
4. Develop solutions using FPGAs/SoCs across various platforms.
5. Utilize hardware description languages such as VHDL and Verilog for FPGA development.
6. Apply digital electronics knowledge in embedded systems within harsh environments (oil and gas, aerospace, defense).
7. Perform signal integrity analysis and logic/timing analysis using laboratory and simulation tools.
8. Analyze hardware validation requirements and develop/execute test plans with debugging tools.
9. Understand data acquisition, signal processing, and feedback control systems.
10. Work with digital communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, RS-485, CAN, SPI, I²C, etc.).
11. Document technical reports promptly.
12. Demonstrate innovation, self-motivation, teamwork, adaptability, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Relevant experience may substitute formal education.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred.
• Fluent in English.
