As a Field Service Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in creating products that meet both business and technical needs. You will oversee installation, commissioning, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our products, delivering innovative solutions to our customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Commissioning HV Generators, Motors, Synchronous condensers, Power management systems (PMS), Electrical protection systems, Excitation Controllers (AVRs), and Synchronising equipment.
• Possibly have knowledge of networking systems such as Modbus, Ethernet, 61850, Fibre.
• Applying health and safety procedures, including HV safety, lockout/tagout, permits, and risk assessments.
• Upgrading AVRS, PMS systems, Synchronisers, Protection relays, and other control elements.
• Conducting electrical testing on high and low voltage equipment and windings.
• Managing projects at the site level.
• Training clients and colleagues on Brush Power Gen products.
• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications, attending technical meetings.
• Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
• Assisting mechanical engineers when needed.

Qualifications include:

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or recognized craft apprenticeship with significant field experience.
• Experience with electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Self-reliant, resourceful, and commercially aware.
• Effective communication skills in English and Portuguese.
• Willingness for extensive overseas and offshore work.
• Ability to operate independently and observe health and safety regulations.
• Strength of character and physical fitness for challenging roles.
