We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to help maintain and enhance our data infrastructure. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to grow their careers while delivering impactful results.

Fluent or advanced English is required for daily communication with our international teams. This is a fully remote, CLT position.

Responsibilities

1. Design and develop data warehouse, data analysis, and reporting solutions using SQL Server database. Collaborate with data visualization developers to determine solutions that drive business value.
2. Develop database objects, functions, and structures for data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
3. Design and develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solutions to populate the data warehouse.
4. Create automated and reusable routines for extracting information from database systems and enterprise management systems.
5. Define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications and back-end interfaces to support business objectives.
6. Build analytic prototypes based on initial business requirements.
7. Design, run, and monitor performance tests on systems to identify errors and areas for improvement. Write scripts to enhance functionality and performance.
8. Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure quality.
9. Support technical staff in resolving customer-reported issues. Liaise with database administrators, developers, and vendors as needed.
10. Maintain and test the data warehouse in accordance with the company's disaster recovery plan.
11. Research emerging software development solutions and standards to support business needs.
12. Collaborate with business leaders to design effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of Azure experience.
• Total 7+ years of experience, with 5-7 years as a Data Engineer in a large enterprise environment.
• Proficient with Azure Synapse orchestration, transformation tools, and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho, and DevOps for source control and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing processes.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with experience analyzing business and technology architectures.
• Ability to work with users to define and gather reporting and analytics requirements.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
