Fluent or advanced English is required for daily communication with our international teams. This is a fully remote, CLT position.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data warehouse, data analysis, and reporting solutions using SQL Server database. Collaborate with data visualization developers to determine solutions that drive business value.
- Develop database objects, functions, and structures for data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
- Design and develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) solutions to populate the data warehouse.
- Create automated and reusable routines for extracting data from database systems and/or enterprise management systems.
- Define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications and back-end interfaces in support of business objectives.
- Build analytic prototypes based on initial business requirements.
- Design, run, and monitor performance tests on systems to identify errors and areas for improvement. Write scripts to enhance functionality and performance.
- Promote quality practices through unit testing and support for user acceptance testing.
- Support technical staff in resolving customer-reported issues. Liaise with database administrators, developers, and vendors as needed.
- Maintain and test the data warehouse in line with the company's disaster recovery plan.
- Research emerging software development solutions and standards to support business needs.
- Collaborate with business leaders to design solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience with Azure.
- Over 7 years of total experience, with 5-7 years as a Data Engineer in a large enterprise environment.
- Proficient with Azure Synapse orchestration and transformation tools, including Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho, and DevOps for source control and CI/CD deployments.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing processes.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing system architectures, databases, and client applications.
- Ability to work with both business and technical users to define reporting and analytics requirements.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
