Job description
Assist in organizing and supervising kitchen services in hospitals, residences, and other meal service locations. Execute menus, perform food pre-preparation, preparation, and finalization, observing cooking methods and quality standards for foods.
Main responsibilities
- Monitor the flow of operations for preparing and distributing daily meals.
- Manage requisition tables for raw materials for different production sectors.
- Apply hygiene standards and good practices to ensure service quality.
- Assess flavor, aroma, color, and texture of foods.
- Ensure quality of culinary preparations regarding flavor, cooking point, cuts, and presentation.
- Follow guidelines in the employee manual, including shift schedules, medical certificates, vacation periods, and dress code.
- Report needs for repair and maintenance of equipment and utensils.
- Ensure quality in receiving and cleaning raw materials.
- Adapt to operational needs and planning changes, exploring creative solutions and alternative preparations.

- Season foods according to cooking methods.
- Control cooking times and methods.

- Ensure proper storage and conservation of foods.
- Manage ingredient quantities and monitor stock levels for perishable items.
- Perform cleaning of the work environment.
- Apply hygiene and safety procedures in food handling and utensil cleaning.
- Ensure personal and collective safety with appropriate protective equipment.
- Follow biosafety norms and procedures.
- Assist in supervising the cleaning of equipment and waste management.
- Participate in daily food production activities and service to patients and restaurant operations.
Requirements and skills
- High School Diploma.
- Knowledge of food handling.
- Safety and hygiene standards.
- Production planning and menu development.
