Confidential, based in Rio de Janeiro area, is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to manage and monitor project and operational costs. You will prepare budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and provide detailed financial reporting to support decision-making.

The role requires strong Excel and ERP skills, 3+ years in cost control, and advanced English in multinational environments. CMA/CPA or equivalent certifications are a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, or project accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
• Knowledge of budgeting, variance analysis, and financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Professional certifications (CMA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) are a plus.

Our organization is hiring for an experienced Cost Controller in Rio. The Cost Controller is responsible for managing and monitoring project and operational costs to ensure alignment with budget and financial objectives. The role includes preparing and maintaining budgets and forecasts, conducting cost and variance analysis, tracking expenditures, identifying financial risks and cost-saving opportunities, and providing accurate financial reporting to support decision-making. The Cost Controller works closely with operational and finance teams to enhance cost visibility, ensure compliance with financial controls and company policies, and drive financial performance through effective cost management and resource utilization.

The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.

Duties

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project and operational budgets
• Prepare periodic forecasts and analyze budget versus actual performance
• Track and control costs to ensure adherence to approved budgets
• Perform detailed variance analysis and provide explanations for cost deviations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and management summaries
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance
• Monitor project commitments, accruals, and expenditures to ensure financial accuracy
• Collaborate with operational, project, procurement, and finance teams to support cost management initiatives

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or project accounting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial reporting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost management, variance analysis, and financial controls
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to identify financial risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Advanced English proficiency in multinational environments
