A LA-based telecom company is looking to hire a Controller to manage multiple sets of books across related companies. This role requires a highly experienced individual with strong team management skills and the ability to scale operations. The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with the potential to build and lead a team in the future. This position is fully remote, and the candidate must be able to work LA hours (Pacific Time).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee accounting for multiple companies, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.
• Handle monthly and annual closing processes, including reconciliations and financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasts for the company.
• Lead and manage accounting teams in the future, while ensuring the scalability of operations.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with other departments, ensuring smooth financial operations.
• Improve internal controls and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Role will be reporting to the CFO of the company, with regular interaction with the CEO/Founder.
• Ensure company tax payments are made following CPA’s (Tax) instructions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, with strong expertise in managing multiple sets of books.
• Proven ability to work independently and handle complex accounting processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and guide a team in the future.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication across teams.
• Comfortable working remotely and available to work in LA hours (Pacific Time).
• A solid internet connection is required for effective remote work.
