Fortinet seeks a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) with a strong Security Operations background to support strategic customers across Latin America. The CSE acts as a senior technical advisor working with Sales, Field Systems Engineers, customers, partners and Fortinet product teams to design and position cybersecurity solutions with emphasis on SOC, SIEM, SOAR and security analytics.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on SecOps experience with the ability to translate customer security needs

Qualificações

• Strong experience designing and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer-facing role.
• Hands-on SecOps experience with SIEM, SOAR, SOC processes, detection and response.
• Deep knowledge of firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN and related security technologies.
• Ability to translate customer security requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to technical and business audiences.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Bilingual in Portuguese and English; Spanish a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Support International sales activities as a strategic technical resource for pre-sales engagements and opportunities.
• Act as subject-matter expert in pre-sales design reviews and guide Field SEs with technical leadership.
• Lead design and architecture of secure IP networks using Fortinet products to create superior solutions.
• Provide training to System Engineers at events worldwide and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.
• Serve as Virtual Team Leader and represent International Sales Organization technically at meetings.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to identify and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success.
• Write high-level technical documentation as required.
• Interface with Fortinet partners and disseminate knowledge to field SEs.
• Travel worldwide on short notice.

Job Description

Fortinet is seeking a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) with a strong Security Operations (SecOps) background to support strategic customers and opportunities across Latin America.

The CSE is a senior technical advisor who works closely with Sales, Field Systems Engineers, customers, partners, and Fortinet product teams.

This role focuses on designing and positioning cybersecurity solutions, with particular emphasis on Security Operations, including SIEM, SOAR, SOC processes, detection and response, and security analytics.

The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity knowledge with hands-on experience in SOC environments and the ability to translate customer security requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• - Support International sales activities as a strategic and high-level corporate technical resource for vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.


• - Act as subject-matter expert in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant to Field Systems Engineers by providing technical guidance and leadership.


• - Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure IP networks utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet’s product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.


• - Provide training to System Engineers at various events worldwide and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.


• - Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the International Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.


• - Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success.


• - Write white papers, tech notes, and other high-level technical documentation as required.


• - Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Systems Engineers.


• - Travel worldwide on short notice.


• - Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure communication to the SE Director / VP SE.

Qualifications

• - Field sales experience


• - Extensive and proven experience in designing, building and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer-facing role.


• - Exceptional network and software security skills include hands-on experience with products from top security vendors. Good understanding of networking technologies.


• Deep understanding of information security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, VPN, etc.) and associated protocols and standards.


• - Ability to understand the specific customer environments and their security needs, and to articulate the best technical solution for a given scenario.


• - Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Capable of delivering product and technology presentations to technical and business audiences.


• - Ability to mentor other sales engineers and take a leadership role.


• - The optimal candidate will have a CISSP and/or CISM certification along with vendor specific certifications.


• - Regional and international travel required.


• - Team worker, focused on reaching objectives.


• Bilingual in Portuguese and English, Spanish a plus
