Fortinet seeks a Senior Engineer (CSE) to act as architect and advisor to field engineering and accounts teams. You will engage in large deals across industries by providing expert guidance on design, architecture and solutions that meet customer needs.

You will work with field engineers, account teams and partners, shaping engagements through presentations, demonstrations and POC activities across Fortinet’s product line.

• Extensive field sales experience.
• Proven ability to design and support advanced security solutions in a customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and information security technologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

• CISSP and/or CISM certification, with vendor certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
• Bilingual in Portuguese and English; Spanish a plus.

A CSE is a Senior Engineer, part of an elite team, who acts as an architect and advisor to the field engineering and accounts teams. As a CSE you will engage in large deals across a range of industries by providing expert advice on the design, architecture and implementation of solutions that best meet the specific customer’s needs. You will work alongside peer field engineers, account teams, and channel partners that may be involved, throughout the sales process. The CSE is expected to shape the positive outcome of customer engagements such as presentations, meetings, demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) activities.

• Field sales experience
• Extensive and proven experience in designing, building and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer-facing role.
• Exceptional network and software security skills include hands-on experience with products from top security vendors. Good understanding of networking technologies.
• Deep understanding of information security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, VPN, etc.) and associated protocols and standards.
• Ability to understand the specific customer environments and their security needs, and to articulate the best technical solution for a given scenario.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Capable of delivering product and technology presentations to technical and business audiences.
• Ability to mentor other sales engineers and take a leadership role.
• The optimal candidate will have a CISSP and/or CISM certification along with vendor specific certifications.
• Regional and international travel required.
• Team worker, focused on reaching objectives.
• Bilingual in Portuguese and English, Spanish a plus
• Support International sales activities as a strategic and high-level corporate technical resource for vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.
• Act as subject-matter expert in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant to Field Systems Engineers by providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure IP networks utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet’s product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.
• Provide training to System Engineers at various events worldwide and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams.
• Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the International Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.
• Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success.
• Write white papers, tech notes, and other high-level technical documentation as required.
• Interface with Fortinet’s Business and Technology partners within designated technology discipline and distribute that knowledge to the field Systems Engineers.
• Travel worldwide on short notice.
• Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure communication to the SE Director / VP SE.
