Amazon Compliance Manager - Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

Amazon is seeking an experienced compliance professional with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) expertise in the financial and payments sectors, to serve as a Compliance Manager for Amazon Seviços de Varejo Ltda (ASVBL). In this role, you will develop compliance strategies and policies to ensure our Store business complies with the Brazil Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) - COAF requirements and other applicable regulations.

The successful candidate will engage internally across business, legal, operations, and technical teams to influence the strategic direction of products and design appropriate AML controls. The Compliance Manager will advise senior stakeholders on the compliance implications of business decisions and engage externally with independent auditors and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate on new product initiatives to understand legal impacts, define compliance requirements, and establish appropriate compliance policies and controls for successful launches.
2. Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and issues that may pose compliance risks; educate management and guide teams in developing a risk-based, coordinated response.
3. Manage external audit processes, maintain relationships with assessors, and ensure timely, accurate responses to inquiries.
4. Promote a culture of compliance by engaging with business teams to educate on compliance concerns, understand objectives, and influence product design.
5. Oversee daily compliance program functions, including regulatory reporting and controls oversight.
6. Prepare reports for senior management with insights into the health of compliance programs.

Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS) is Amazon’s financial crime and consumer protection compliance unit, safeguarding buyers, brands, and sellers while enabling safe scaling of operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• 3+ years of experience in defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics for improvements.
• Professional auditing qualification or similar risk/compliance credentials.
• Proficiency with SQL and Excel.
