Commercial Business Development Expert (Automation)

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Business Development lead to drive revenue growth for EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE), a cutting-edge, software-defined industrial automation solution. This role focuses on expanding market awareness, influencing key decision-makers, and driving adoption among system integrators, OEMs, and industrial end-users, with the ultimate KPI of increasing sales growth in EAE.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Direct sales through customer engagement—promoting, prescribing, and closing deals for EAE.
  2. Identifying and initiating relationships with accounts aligned with EAE’s capabilities.
  3. Collaborating with broader sales and technical teams to drive and secure large-scale opportunities.

Must be a Sales HUNTER Profile: We seek a highly motivated, results-driven professional with deep expertise in industrial automation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, technical sales, and solution consulting, with a proven ability to influence key decision-makers and drive technology adoption.

This role requires a strategic thinker capable of working autonomously and collaborating effectively within a matrix organization. The successful candidate will be recognized as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to internal teams and external customers and partners during the implementation of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE). In-depth knowledge of how industrial segments and their applications work is essential (e.g., WWW, MMM, CPG, E&C, Infrastructure, C&SP is advantageous).

  • Experience launching and scaling new products, offers, and solutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute impactful business development strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills, from shop floor to C-suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consultative, technical solution sales.
  • Deep understanding of industrial automation and related applications.
  • Embedded Software Engineer background, preferably with a strong IT focus.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
