The role

We seek energetic and motivated sales professionals with strong hunting skills to join our Territory Account Manager team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of new account or business development experience, with a proven track record of selling complex technical solutions. Deep experience with GOVERNMENT and PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS is required. You will leverage market intelligence, customer events, product specialists, partners, and your professional network to develop new relationships and close high-value clients.

What you’ll bring
  • Conduct market and customer research to expand commercial insights and develop effective call plans and sales strategies.
  • Drive high-volume prospecting and business development activities to reach decision-makers and influencers inside pursuit accounts.
  • Coordinate team selling efforts with partners, specialists, management, and technical resources to close business.
  • Become sales proficient with Hitachi Vantara’s solutions through rigorous training and understand how we deliver business value.
  • Manage forecasts and activity plans inside Salesforce.
Qualifications
  • Experience in infrastructure, data storage, data management, or other IT services sales.
  • Minimum of 5 years in outside sales, focusing on new logo acquisition or new business development.
  • Proven ability to source new leads and leverage social networks to access decision-makers.
  • Experience working with top VARs and integrators; subject matter expertise in data storage, management, analytics, and IT services.
  • Knowledge of large enterprise IT environments and corporate buying centers.
  • Track record of achieving quota with specific customer wins.
  • Experience with sales management processes and building relationships with management and C-level executives.
  • Successful in managing and closing complex sales campaigns using outcome and solution selling techniques.
  • Competitive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, matrixed environments.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and MS Office tools.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent is desirable.
