skie.io seeks a Cloud Architect to design and operate AWS environments for managed services customers in a remote position based in Brazil. You will be the technical reference for customers, collaborating with sales, delivery and leadership.

The role emphasizes Terraform, networking, security, cost guidance, and reliability, with strong customer-facing communication. You will lead migrations, contribute to runbooks, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced cloud operations environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads.
• Strong Terraform experience and daily use of Git and GitHub.
• Solid knowledge of networking, identity and security on AWS.
• Customer-facing experience and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.

Responsabilidades

• Design, review and operate AWS environments following the Well-Architected Framework.
• Implement and maintain security and governance in AWS.
• Build and change infrastructure with Terraform, with code in GitHub and changes delivered through pull requests and CI/CD.
• Handle customer requests and incidents, and guide customers on cost, security and reliability.
• Support presales: discovery calls, solution designs, diagrams, effort estimates and statements of work.
• Lead migration and modernization projects.
• Contribute to internal standards, Terraform modules, runbooks and documentation, and mentor other engineers.

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Architect who is equally comfortable designing AWS solutions and operating them day to day for our managed services customers. You will be the technical reference for your customers, working with sales, delivery and leadership. This is a remote position based in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and operate AWS environments following the Well-Architected Framework: multi-account setups (AWS Organizations, Control Tower, SCPs), networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Route 53), compute (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), storage and databases (S3, EBS, RDS, DynamoDB)
• Implement and maintain security and governance: IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, CloudTrail, AWS Config, backup
• Build and change infrastructure with Terraform, with code in GitHub and changes delivered through pull requests and CI/CD
• Handle customer requests and incidents, and guide customers on cost, security and reliability
• Support presales: discovery calls, solution designs, diagrams, effort estimates and statements of work
• Lead migration and modernization projects
• Contribute to internal standards, Terraform modules, runbooks and documentation, and mentor other engineers

Requirements

• Fluent spoken and written English, used daily with customers and the team
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads
• Strong Terraform experience and daily use of Git and GitHub (pull requests, code review, GitHub Actions)
• Solid knowledge of networking, identity and security on AWSCustomer-facing experience and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

Nice to have

• AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Security / Advanced Networking Specialty
• Experience at an AWS Partner, MSP or consultancy
• Kubernetes (EKS), scripting (Python, Bash)
