Job summary

skie.io is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and operate Azure environments for managed services customers in a remote Brazil-based role. You will collaborate with sales, delivery and leadership to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

Responsibilities include landing zones, networking, compute, storage, security, and governance, using Terraform and GitHub for CI/CD. Excellent English is required and AZ-305 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, daily with customers and the team.
• 5+ years hands-on Azure experience designing and operating production workloads.
• Strong Terraform and GitHub (pull requests, code review, CI/CD).
• Solid knowledge of networking, identity and security on Azure.
• Customer-facing communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• AZ-305 certification.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and operate Azure environments following well-architected and CAF guidelines.
• Implement and maintain landing zones, networking, compute, storage and databases.
• Apply security governance: Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Monitor, Backup.
• Work with Terraform and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines; manage PRs and changes.
• Handle customer requests and incidents; advise on cost, security and reliability.
• Support presales: discovery, designs, diagrams and statements of work.
• Lead migration and modernization projects and mentor peers.

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Architect who is equally comfortable designing Azure solutions and operating them day to day for our managed services customers. You will be the technical reference for your customers, working with sales, delivery and leadership. This is a remote position based in Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and operate Azure environments following the Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework: landing zones (management groups, Azure Policy, RBAC), networking (VNets, peering, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway), compute (VMs, App Service, AKS, Functions), storage and databases (Blob, Files, Azure SQL)
• Implement and maintain security and governance: Microsoft Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, backup and disaster recovery
• Build and change infrastructure with Terraform, with code in GitHub and changes delivered through pull requests and CI/CD
• Handle customer requests and incidents, and guide customers on cost, security and reliability
• Support presales: discovery calls, solution designs, diagrams, effort estimates and statements of work
• Lead migration and modernization projects
• Contribute to internal standards, Terraform modules, runbooks and documentation, support Microsoft partner programs, and mentor other engineers

Requirements

• Fluent spoken and written English, used daily with customers and the team
• 5+ years of hands-on Azure experience designing and operating production workloads
• Strong Terraform experience and daily use of Git and GitHub (pull requests, code review, GitHub Actions)
• Solid knowledge of networking, identity and security on Azure
• Customer-facing experience and clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)

• DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), or Security (AZ-500) / Network (AZ-700) certifications
