As a Claims Project Analyst supporting Liberty Mutual’s Global Surety business, you’ll support moderately complex to complex projects that directly improve claim operations in Brazil, across Latin America and Global Surety Claims. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver non-cyclical and varied projects that result in meaningful outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Works under direction from manager on more complex tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the development and ongoing management of end-to-end Claims project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate Claims project activities, resources, and information to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to manager & Claims senior management and stakeholders.
- Support project documentation including status reports, meeting minutes, and executive summaries.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating to leadership as appropriate.
- Facilitate communication between project team members and other departments.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and championing solutions across project teams.
Preparation, training and experience
- Foundational knowledge of project management principles and concepts.
- Experience supporting or managing projects across the project management life cycle, with exposure to varying levels of complexity.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, strategies, and tools, with eagerness to build proficiency over time.
- Project management certification preferred.
- Displays solid communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills. Developing presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Basic understanding of business operations, including the function's value chain and market conditions, preferred.
- Competencies typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in addition to 2+ years of relevant experience to include project management work.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years in business analysis, project management, process/operations improvement or similar (insurance/claims experience highly preferred).
- Proficiency (written and verbal) in Portuguese and English required; Spanish proficiency is an added benefit.
- Strong analytical skills (comfortable with data), excellent written and verbal communication.
- Effective facilitator and stakeholder manager; culturally aware and collaborative across LatAm and US contexts.
- Detail-oriented, pragmatic, outcomes-driven and adaptable.
- Degree in Business, Insurance, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience.
