Job summary

Clay Community Schools is seeking a Bus Aide to assist special services students during transportation. This role involves ensuring the safety and discipline of students on the bus, administering first aid as needed, and preparing for emergency evacuations. This is an at-will position with a work term of 180 days.

SUMMARY:

Assists special services students being transported by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Other Duties May Be Assigned)

• Assists students being loaded onto and off of bus
• Ensures students are properly secured and remain seated while on bus
• Performs routine first aid and CPR as needed
• Maintains student discipline while students are on the bus
• Assists in preparation and implementation of emergency evacuations as required
• Maintains confidentiality
• Maintains a regular and reliable level of attendance in order to perform and complete duties as outlined herein
