We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Data Engineer with a strong sense of ownership and an insatiable desire to learn. In this individual contributor role, you will design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and scalable architectures that drive our business forward. We're also looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, responsible for transforming data into key insights supporting the Revenue Management team. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders to measure our business, communicate trends, and improve our pricing processes through data-driven automation. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, positive, organized self-starter capable of handling various tasks and adapting quickly. Initial projects may include designing and visualizing new KPIs, analyzing large datasets for trends and opportunities, and optimizing data infrastructure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
2. Build reports that display actionable insights for RM analysts, leaders, and other stakeholders, and communicate analysis results effectively across audiences.
3. Provide recommendations by interpreting disparate data and translating ad hoc requests into relevant results.
4. Serve as a liaison between the reporting & analytics team and the event management team to understand data needs.
5. Ensure data quality control, accuracy of analyses, and metrics.
6. Identify data flaws and upstream data issues.

Requirements:

1. Critical thinking skills to structure data and measure performance metrics effectively.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting data-heavy information clearly to all organization levels.
3. Ability to adapt to change and work in a dynamic environment.
4. Inquisitiveness and analytical mindset to find meaning and patterns in data.
5. Organizational and strategic thinking to align analysis with business needs.
6. Proactive initiative and communication, with an eye for opportunities.
7. Experience in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
8. 2-4 years of BI experience with Tableau or similar tools.
9. 2-4 years of BI experience with Alteryx or similar tools.
10. 2-4 years of SQL experience with a strong understanding of relational databases.
11. Proficiency in Excel.
12. Python experience is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; a business background is preferred.
