We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting Data Engineer with a strong sense of ownership and an insatiable desire to learn. In this individual contributor role, you will design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and scalable architectures that drive our business forward. We're also looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst tasked with transforming data into key insights supporting the Revenue Management team. This position will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to measure our business, communicate trends, and improve our pricing processes with data-driven automation. Candidates must be highly motivated, positive, organized, and adaptable, capable of handling various tasks and quickly adjusting to new challenges. Initial projects may include designing and visualizing new KPIs, analyzing large datasets for trends and opportunities, and optimizing data infrastructure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
2. Build reports that display actionable insights for the Revenue Management analysts, leaders, and other stakeholders, and communicate analysis results effectively across audiences.
3. Provide recommendations by interpreting diverse data and translating ad hoc requests into relevant, impactful results.
4. Serve as a liaison between the reporting & analytics team and the event management team to understand data needs.
5. Ensure quality control over data, analyses, and metrics.
6. Identify flaws and errors in data and upstream data issues.

Requirements:

1. Critical thinker with the ability to structure data, measure, and display performance metrics effectively.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present data-heavy information clearly to all levels of the organization.
3. Comfortable with change and adaptable.
4. Inquisitive and analytical, with a search for meaning and patterns in data.
5. Organized and strategic, aligning analysis and reporting with business needs.
6. Takes initiative, proactively communicates, and identifies opportunities.
7. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
8. 2-4 years of BI experience with Tableau or similar tools.
9. 2-4 years of BI experience with Alteryx or similar tools.
10. 2-4 years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
11. Proficiency in Excel.
12. Python experience preferred but not required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; business background preferred.
