We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to contribute to the development and modernization of enterprise applications built on microservices and event-driven architectures. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot while enabling seamless communication between distributed systems. You will work with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka and IBM MQ to build reliable, scalable integrations. Your expertise in REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Helm will help ensure efficient application delivery and system performance. You will collaborate with technical teams in an environment focused on innovation, scalability, and continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and can communicate confidently with international stakeholders in both English and Spanish.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance.
• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs to enable seamless communication and integration between enterprise systems.
• Build and manage messaging solutions using Apache Kafka and IBM MQ to support asynchronous communication and event-driven processing.
• Contribute to the evolution and modernization of enterprise applications, improving scalability, maintainability, and system resilience.
• Work with microservices architectures to develop modular, efficient, and distributed backend solutions.
• Support application deployment and orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm, contributing to reliable and consistent delivery processes.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases to support data persistence, querying, and integration requirements.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with development teams to maintain organized, efficient software development workflows.
• Participate in technical discussions and project meetings in English and Spanish, coordinating effectively with international teams.
• Identify technical issues, troubleshoot application behavior, and implement improvements to backend performance and integration reliability.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka and IBM MQ/MQ Series for messaging, asynchronous processing, and system integration.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases and relational data management.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm for application deployment, orchestration, and environment management.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, development, and integration principles.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven design patterns, with the ability to develop scalable and maintainable enterprise applications.
• Professional conversational proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory, including the ability to independently lead and participate in meetings in either language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing reliable, maintainable code.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and manage development priorities.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
