Job summary

You will design automated and manual testing, introduce AI-powered test data generation, and ensure reliable integrations with core banking systems.

In this role you will own test lifecycle, mentor peers, and drive quality metrics across Agile ceremonies while collaborating with engineering and product teams to validate acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Zephyr for Jira or comparable test management solution.
• Hands-on test automation framework design with Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman/Newman.
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools to support test automation and data generation.
• Familiarity with fixed-income financial products and core banking processes.
• Strong REST API, JSON, microservices, and event-driven architecture testing skills.
• Experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ messaging technologies.

This is a senior quality engineering opportunity focused on building a robust QA strategy for a new fixed-income financial platform from the ground up. You will help establish automated and manual testing practices while introducing AI-powered approaches to test scenario and test-data generation. The role sits at the intersection of quality, technology, financial products, and modern test automation. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to validate acceptance criteria and ensure reliable integrations with core banking systems. You will also help define quality standards, monitor testing metrics, and identify risks before they reach production. • Own and manage the test lifecycle using Zephyr for Jira or comparable test management platforms, ensuring traceability, organization, and effective execution of test cases.
• Design, develop, and evolve automated testing architectures for REST APIs and web applications.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, and Postman/Newman.
• Apply Generative AI techniques and tools to automate test scenarios, generate intelligent test data, and improve testing efficiency.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to validate fixed-income product configurations and integrations with core banking platforms and related systems.
• Act as a quality advocate throughout Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Define and execute comprehensive manual and automated test strategies for new platform capabilities.
• Monitor and analyze quality indicators such as defect density, test coverage, regression rates, and other relevant KPIs.
• Perform performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Support basic security testing and vulnerability validation using relevant practices and frameworks such as OWASP.
• Validate RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, microservices, and event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Identify technical and operational risks, challenge requirements when appropriate, and recommend improvements that strengthen platform reliability.
• Share knowledge and mentor other QA professionals, contributing to the evolution of testing practices and team capabilities.

Requirements:

• Advanced experience with Zephyr for Jira or a comparable test management solution, including test case mapping, traceability, execution, and reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, and/or Newman.
• Practical experience using Generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies to support test automation, scenario creation, and test-data generation.
• Familiarity with financial markets and fixed-income products such as CDB, RDB, LCI/LCA, LF, and related banking processes.
• Strong experience testing RESTful APIs, JSON, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of core banking platforms such as Matera, Autbank, or equivalent systems is desirable.
• Experience performing performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Basic knowledge of application and integration security testing, including OWASP principles and vulnerability analysis.
• Strong understanding of software quality practices, test strategy, automation, regression testing, and quality metrics.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical rigor, particularly in environments where accuracy and reliability are critical.
• Ability and willingness to mentor peers, share knowledge, and contribute to the development of QA capabilities.
