Job summary

Lever, Inc. and our partner in Brazil seek a QA Automatizado - Líder COE based in Brazil. The role leads QA and Testing professionals, mentoring teams and building a center of excellence that drives quality across projects.

You will govern testing frameworks, define strategies for functional, regression, API, and performance testing, and promote AI-assisted testing and CI/CD integration. Strong leadership and communication are required to collaborate with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience defining and implementing software testing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration and End-to-End testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on Shift-Left testing in development and delivery processes.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and RestAssured.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and/or k6.
• Experience implementing Quality Gates and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams and technical professionals.
• Strong ability to define frameworks, governance models, processes, and quality standards across multiple teams.
• Experience with project and QA team sizing, effort estimation, seniority planning, competency mapping.
• Practical knowledge of AI applied to Testing, including AI-assisted test case generation and data creation.
• Advanced English or Spanish proficiency for collaboration with clients and nearshore/LATAM teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinking with hands-on execution in scalable QA standards.
• ISTQB certification is a plus, as is security testing and multi-client environments.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a QA Automatizado - Líder COE based in Brazil.

Accountabilities

• Lead and develop QA and Testing professionals, providing technical mentorship, career guidance, continuous learning opportunities, and support for talent retention.

• Establish, evolve, and govern quality standards, testing frameworks, processes, methodologies, and best practices across projects and teams.

• Lead and structure the QA/Test Center of Excellence (COE), strengthening technical capabilities and promoting consistent approaches to software quality.

• Build and maintain the technical roadmap for the QA discipline, ensuring teams remain aligned with evolving tools, technologies, industry practices, and quality engineering trends.

• Promote Quality Engineering, Shift-Left Testing, continuous quality practices, defect prevention, and the integration of testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Drive the evolution of test automation and the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including the implementation and improvement of Quality Gates.

• Support the adoption and evolution of SAI App 3.0 and encourage the effective use of emerging technologies within testing practices.

• Contribute to team allocation, capacity planning, project sizing, and workforce composition based on effort estimates, seniority, competencies, and project requirements.

• Partner closely with Client Faces, customers, technical leaders, and other stakeholders to align QA strategies with business and project needs.

• Define and implement testing strategies covering functional, regression, integration, End-to-End, API, performance, and load testing.

• Contribute to technical proposals and pricing activities, ensuring QA scope, effort, staffing, and delivery considerations are accurately represented.

• Promote the use of Artificial Intelligence in Quality and Testing, including AI-assisted test case generation, test data creation, automation acceleration, and defect analysis.

Requirements:

• Solid professional experience defining and implementing software testing strategies, with strong technical expertise across modern QA and Quality Engineering practices.

• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and End-to-End testing throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Hands‑on experience with Shift-Left Testing and quality practices embedded throughout development and delivery processes.

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and/or RestAssured, as well as API automation and testing.

• Knowledge of performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and/or k6.

• Experience implementing Quality Gates and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience leading and mentoring QA teams and technical professionals, with the ability to develop talent and establish technical standards.

• Strong ability to define frameworks, governance models, processes, and quality standards across multiple teams or projects.

• Experience with project and QA team sizing, effort estimation, seniority planning, competency mapping, and workforce composition.

• Professional experience contributing to technical proposals and pricing, with an understanding of how QA scope and effort translate into project requirements.

• Practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applied to Testing and Quality, including AI-assisted test case generation, test data generation, automation acceleration, and AI-supported defect analysis.

• Advanced English or Spanish proficiency is required for collaboration with clients and nearshore/LATAM teams.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, leadership, and technical teams.

• Strategic thinking combined with a hands‑on approach and the ability to translate modern QA practices into scalable standards and measurable improvements.

• ISTQB certification is a plus, as is experience with security testing, large-scale Quality Engineering environments, and multi-client or multinational organizations.
