About The Role

The key focus of the AP Clerk is to prepare and code daily invoice batches, assist with preparing and printing weekly check runs, participate in month-end close duties, and handle other projects and tasks as assigned by the manager.

The AP Clerk reports to the AP Manager and collaborates with team members and other departments. Experience in the tobacco industry is a plus.

What Will You Be Responsible For?

• Monitor and support daily AP functions for all entities.
• Prepare and code daily invoice batches, typically 200 or more per week.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
• Process transactions, maintain accounts, record journal entries, and reconcile books.
• Support departments with AP inquiries and resolve issues.
• Assist AP Manager with financial data gathering for reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Skills and Experience Are Required?

• Associate degree in accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting/AP.
• Experience with multiple legal entities.
• Experience with ERP/Accounting systems like AX Dynamics or SAP.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
