Main Purpose of the Role:

Coordinate and support all the accounting and tax functions for ZIM Brazil and ZIM Log Brazil using the accounting system and vendors provided by the company.

Support the ECSA District Finance Manager in all monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and tax/fiscal reports, declarations, activities, and obligations (such as F/S reports, local taxes reports, and calculations like PIS, COFINS, ISS, depreciation, and assets books) in compliance with local rules and ZIM policy.

Monitor, control, and report to the S.A. Finance Manager all expenses for both companies monthly, comparing data with the Budget via F&B and P&L Reports, with direct access to administrative contracts and tariffs.

Main Tasks:

• Accounting: Monitor and support all posting processes for ZIM Brazil and ZIM Log Brazil using the provided system.
• Tax: Support the District Finance Manager in all monthly and yearly local taxes calculations, declarations, and reporting (e.g., PIS, COFINS, ISS, ECD, ECF, Transfer Pricing) according to Brazilian legislation.
• Monitor and support billing procedures related to income from ZIM and others, in accordance with remuneration agreements.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit reports according to Brazilian laws, regulations, and HO requirements.
• Audits: Coordinate and support external audit activities.
• Budget: Assist in the annual budget preparation, analyze monthly actual vs. budget data, and explain discrepancies. Prepare IT budgets for all Brazilian agencies.

Requirements:

• BA in Economics or Accounting with CPA-CRC certification.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax rules.
• Advanced proficiency in English (speaking, writing, listening).
• Postgraduate degree in Tax, Compliance, or Audit.
