We are looking for an Accounting Analyst who is passionate about being involved in a growing business unit!

About the Role

This role involves being a key player in the end-to-end preparation of the financial close for non-technical entities, based on locally generally accepted accounting principles (BRGAAP). Additionally, you will seek ways to improve current accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the preparation of the financial close schedule.
2. Coordinate with all involved parties to ensure timely financial closing.
3. Ensure all accounting entries are BRGAAP compliant.
4. Perform monthly and quarterly journal entries.
5. Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
6. Provide ad-hoc reports to management.

About the Team

Finance Brazil handles statutory and regulatory reports for Swiss Re entities in Brazil, including local reinsurers, an insurance company, a service company, and a holding company. With over 30 employees in São Paulo, the team also offers strategic input for the company's development in Brazil.

About You

You are an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills, complemented by analytical thinking and a holistic financial approach.

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• At least three years of experience in financial close activities.
• Strong analytical skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the insurance industry.
• CPA certification.
• Intermediate proficiency in English (reading and writing).
