Cummins Inc. is offering a 13-month undergraduate HR internship at our Scoresby office. The role is part time and paid, starting on 27 January 2027, with the opportunity to gain exposure across the HR function and to work with HR Operations on a range of processes.

You will learn essential HR skills, including recruitment, contracts, reporting, and HR information systems while supporting the team. Ideal candidates are currently studying HR, Business or related disciplines, with 1–8 units left

If you are an undergraduate Human Resources student looking to jump start your career, we are offering a 13-month part time internship based at our Scoresby office. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills and knowledge while you are working full time commencing 27th January 202 7 . . In this role you will have the opportunity to work across the broader HR Function in HR Operations with exposure to a range of generalist HR processes. The purpose of the Internship is to gain valuable insight into the day in the life of operational HR, learn fundamental skills required to work within a busy HR team and support all team members and employees on a daily basis whilst developing your practical skills to work in Human Resources.

In this role you will make an impact and/or gain practical experience in the following ways:

• Learn the fundamentals of HR within the employee lifecycle. Recruitment and selection policy interpretation and guidance, employment and labour relations, compensation & benefits administration, talent management and learning and development.
• Employment contracts
• Reporting and analytics
• Processes, policies and procedures that support the business
• HR Information Systems and Human Resource Support systems
• Supporting and guiding internal customers

About You:

To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:

• Are currently studying a Bachelor degree in Human Resource, Business or a related discipline
• Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2027
• Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.

Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.

To be successful in this role, you will possess skills/abilities or be able to perform:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer literacy and understanding of Microsoft Office suite.

This is a 13-month, full time or part time, paid placement and the successful candidate will be required to defer their studies for the duration of the program.
