Job summary

Grant Thornton Bahrain is seeking an investment professional to source and evaluate startup opportunities, conduct due diligence, and build robust financial models. You will monitor portfolio performance, assist with valuations, and support audit processes as part of a dynamic investment team in Bahrain.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in VC/PE or related fields, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities to drive strategic investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• CFA, CAIA, FMVA etc would be an added advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity or related role.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate potential startup investment opportunities via inbound decks and market analysis.
• Conduct due diligence including financial statements, business models, cap tables, and founder interviews.
• Prepare financial models, valuations and growth projections for targets.
• Monitor portfolio performance, assist with valuations and portfolio reporting.
• Research industry trends to identify opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy.
