Job summary

Advanced Search is seeking a Finance Analyst - Venture Capital to source and evaluate startup investment opportunities, conduct rigorous due diligence, and build detailed financial models and valuation analyses. You will monitor portfolio performance and research market trends to identify opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy.

The role requires 3–5 years in VC/PE or related fields, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
CFA, CAIA, FMVA etc would be an added advantage.
3–5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a similar analytical role.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Source and evaluate potential startup investment opportunities through inbound decks, industry sector mapping, and market trend analysis.
Conduct due diligence by reviewing financial statements, business models, cap tables, and participating in founder interviews.
Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, unit economics framework, and growth return projections for prospective targets.
Monitor the performance of portfolio companies by tracking key KPIs, assisting with valuations, preparing portfolio reports, and supporting audit processes.
Research industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy.
