Job summary

Grant Thornton - Bahrain is seeking a senior treasury professional for a contract role in Bahrain. You will develop and maintain cash flow projections, monitor liquidity, and optimize cash utilization across the Group.

You will manage day-to-day treasury operations, interact with banks, ensure compliance, assess risks, and lead a high-performance treasury team while aligning investment strategies with financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail.
• Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, banking products, and risk management.
• CTP or CFA certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cash flow projections across the Group.
• Monitor daily cash balances and liquidity to support operations.
• Optimize cash utilization and banking structures.
• Manage day-to-day treasury activities including fund transfers and payments.
• Maintain relationships with banks and negotiate terms.
• Ensure treasury activities comply with regulations and internal controls.
• Assess liquidity exposures and implement funding measures.
• Monitor FX exposures and propose mitigation strategies.
• Develop risk management approaches for interest rate, FX, and commodities.
• Collaborate with senior management on investment strategies.
• Assess investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Track investment performance and adjust the portfolio as needed.
• Establish SPV structures to support fundraising within regulations.
• Prepare treasury reports on cash positions, liquidity, and performance.
• Analyze data to improve financial efficiency and decision-making.
• Lead and develop the treasury team, fostering performance-driven culture.
• Provide coaching on treasury practices and regulatory developments.
