Job summary

Grant Thornton Abdulaal Bahrain is seeking a Corporate Finance Specialist - Treasury Ops on a contract basis to oversee liquidity, cash flow projections, and banking relationships in Bahrain. You will lead a treasury team, optimize cash usage, manage day-to-day transfers, monitor FX exposures, and develop investment strategies aligned with the group's financial objectives.

This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of treasury software, and familiarity with financial regulations;

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficient with treasury management systems and financial software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets, banking products, and risk management.
• CTP or CFA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow projections across the Group.
• Monitor daily cash balances across entities and ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Optimize cash utilization, surplus balances, and banking structures to enhance returns and liquidity efficiency.
• Manage day-to-day treasury activities, including fund transfers, wire payments, and investment transactions.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with banks and financial institutions, including negotiation of terms.
• Ensure treasury activities are conducted in line with applicable regulations, policies, and internal controls.
• Identify and assess liquidity exposures and implement appropriate measures to maintain funding.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposures arising from international operations and mitigate risk.
• Develop and implement risk management approaches covering interest rate, FX, and commodity exposures.
• Work closely with senior management to develop investment strategies aligned with the Group’s financial objectives.
• Assess available investment opportunities for surplus cash and provide recommendations based on risk, return, and liquidity.
• Track investment performance and recommend portfolio adjustments where required.
• Lead and develop the treasury team, promoting a high-performance and collaborative environment.
• Provide ongoing coaching and training to the treasury team on industry best practices and regulatory developments.
