Job summary

Confidential Company in Bahrain seeks a seasoned Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for contracting construction projects. The role requires steering budgets, cash flow management, and monthly close, while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 10-12 years of relevant experience, preferably in contracting construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and project costing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting ERP systems.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company's accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare and monitor budgets.
• Prepare financial statements and cash flow analyses.
• Provide management with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor project costing and profitability.
• Manage receivables, payables and cash flow.
• Maintain financial controls and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
• Provide financial analysis and advice for business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
• Supervise the finance and accounts team and ensure proper documentation.
